We are a vibrant, creative and innovative music centre based in the Peak District in Derbyshire. We are committed to providing the best opportunities for musicians of all ages to develop themselves, their interest in music and the lasting friendships that grow out of making music together.

Story

In memory of my mum, Peggy, I am raising money to donate towards the Dark Peak Music Foundation's appeal for a grand piano in Glossop's Victoria Hall.

Mum always supported my musical activities and was particularly proud of the work we did through the Dark Peak Music Foundation which was founded in 2000.

She loved music, in particular singing and I am sure she would be so happy to know that her friends were supporting a cause so close to her heart, which will bring so much joy to generations of young people.

Your contribution will be a lasting legacy and a memorial inscription will be included on a brass plaque on the instrument.

An instrument of this quality will enable us to expand the programme of activities to include more performance opportunities for the children in the Foundation, including our Young Voices Choir, and to present a wide range of concerts and other musical events for all ages.

In total we are aiming to raise £12,000 which will come from a variety of sources including public subscription, donations and charitable funding bodies.

Dark Peak Music Foundation is a registered charitable Incorporated Organization Charity No. 1167654
