Story
I'm walking 60 miles in June to transform the future of pancreatic cancer. 👟End of week two 60.7 miles - target completed (see photo from stepsapp)
(98Km on steps app see photo on the Just Giving page below)- target achieved! at Christmas after op & chemo could manage just couple of hundred yards so to all my fellow walkers - keep going!
HUGE thank you to my magnificent friends & supporters who have given the fantastic total of £1571 (plus £263 in Gift Aid!) I will be eternally grateful for your generous donations it will make a difference. Not forgetting my wonderful wife Catherine Chambers who not only was by my side throughout last year also supported me on the walks too.
Right now, half of people with pancreatic cancer die within three months of diagnosis. Families are left with only hope to hold onto. They need more. So, we do more.
I was one of the very luck ones, diagnosed early - Whipple operation & 6 months chemo now in early stages of remission, my first wife wasn't so lucky also diagnosed with pancreatic cancer she died 4 months from diagnosis.
By donating to my challenge, you've made support available for people now and funding world-leading research to find that breakthrough in new treatments which is so desperately needed. Just £29 funds further research to improve the speed of diagnosis.
Together, we will bring more than hope to people affected by pancreatic cancer. 💜 Thank you so much for your support! 🙏
