105 miles in February

Story

This February, the 'Buses & Boots' walking group is stepping up to a special challenge to celebrate a major milestone!

To honor the 105th Birthday of Vision Support Harrogate District on February 4th, our walkers are committing to walking a combined 105 miles throughout the month. Since 1921, this incredible charity has been a lifeline for the visually impaired community in our area, and we want to ensure they can continue their vital work for another century. Whether you’d like to lace up your boots and join us for a walk or simply make a donation to help us hit our goal, every bit of support makes a difference.

Let’s help Vision Support celebrate 105 years of service with a step in the right direction!

More about Vision Support Harrogate District

Vision Support Harrogate District is a local, independent charity dedicated to supporting people living with sight loss across the Harrogate, Ripon, and Knaresborough district. Established in 1921, we provide vital "emotional & practical support" through our resource centre, offering everything from social activities and leisure groups to essential technology training and 1:1 & peer support.

Our mission is to promote independence and reduce social isolation, ensuring that a visual impairment doesn't stop someone from living a full and active life.

Why Your Support Matters

£10 could help fund a social afternoon to tackle loneliness.

£25 could provide a one-on-one session to help a member learn to use assistive technology.

£50 helps keep their specialized resource centre open and accessible to all who need it.
