Story
I have been a long-term supporter of Brathay Trust, a charity that helps disadvantaged teenagers get a good (better) start in life.
It strives to give children the tools - and confidence - with which to face a world that may sometimes seem to be against them.
Brathay's mission is simple: to transform the lives of young people.
My mission is also a simple one: to raise money in order to help Brathay Trust fulfil its mission.
Over the years, beginning with the running of 10 marathons in 10 days around Windermere in the Lake District (2012), I've raised £130,000 for Brathay Trust.
On May 10, I will run the Brathay marathon for the charity. I will be running with the 2026 crew of 10 in 10ers who will be completing the last day of the challenge. Other former 10 in 10ers will also be running.
I hope you can support me in helping Brathay Trust do its magnificent work. More than ever, we need to invest in the future of our children.
Now in my 60s, the Brathay Marathon will be my first marathon since 2023 when I did the Rob Burrows marathon in Leeds. It will be a challenge, but I will get round!
Love and a big thank you for reading.
Jeff
