🏃100 Laps for a Cause Close to Our Hearts🏃🏻‍♀️

Date: 11th October 2025 
Location: Normanston Park, Lowestoft. 
 Distance: 100 continuous laps — 50 miles!

On October 11th, at 0900, I’ll be lacing up my running shoes and taking on a personal challenge like no other: running 100 continuous laps (50 miles) around Normanston Park, the place where my civilian running journey began.

This isn’t just a physical challenge; it’s one driven by passion, gratitude, and purpose. I’m doing this to raise vital funds for the James Paget Hospital Delivery Suite, a cause incredibly close to our hearts. Earlier this year, Samantha and I welcomed our beautiful daughter, Robyn, into the world. Our experience in the Delivery Suite left us full of admiration for the care we received and we want to give back by helping improve the facilities for other families.

Every penny raised will go directly towards improving the Delivery Suite — ensuring future parents receive the comfort, dignity, and support they deserve during one of life’s most important moments.

This year also marks a personal milestone: 10 years since I left the Army and began my civilian running journey. October 2025 is also the anniversary of leading and coaching Tuesday night running sessions, something I’ve now done for 520 weeks straight, helping build a community of likeminded runners here in Lowestoft.

To celebrate this milestone and give back to a cause that means so much, I’m returning to where it all started — Normanston Park — for this 50-mile run.
