London Marathon 2025 - Queenscourt Hospice

London Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 ·
27th April 2025 I get to run London Marathon AGAIN for the 2nd time.
This time I want to give it my all… I felt last time my head wasn’t in it.
5 weeks after running London in 2021 we lost my beautiful, brave Mum to Pancreatic Cancer. We all knew by London marathon day that she didn’t have long left 💔 But I wanted to make her proud and I’m so glad she got to see me do it.
When I was running and I seen all the t-shirts with different cancer charities and pictures of peoples loved ones on their backs it broke me, I was a snivelling snotty crying mess from around mile 2 💜 but the encouragement from strangers who didn’t know me was immense! And I can not wait to do it again but this time I will be stronger and better 💪🏼
I’ll be running in my Mum’s memory this time around! I know she will be watching over me and pushing me to the finish line. She will be with me every step of the way (in her flip flops for those who know the story) 🤣
Queenscourt Hospice have kindly given me a charity place as I have raised money for them in the past. I feel honoured (and slightly scared) that I’ll be doing this for them, for the amazing work that they do, for all the angels who have been there at the end of their lives, cared for by the amazing people who work at the Hospice.
I will give it my all… just the mammoth task of raising £2000 but with the support of the amazing people in my life I’m sure I’ll smash that total.
Thankyou all 💜💚
I’d best get training hasn’t I? 🥴🤣💜💚
We believe no-one should face a life-limiting illness alone. Our aim is to give adults with far advanced, serious and progressive diseases the best possible Specialist Palliative Care free of charge, whilst supporting their families and carers.
Due to the impact of Coronavirus we are experiencing a significant loss of income which as a small charity with a BIG reach will hit us hard.
we are therefore grateful for your support at this challenging time, as it will make all the difference.
Thank you for helping to keep Queenscourt in service.
