Story
On October 11th, I’ll be running my very first half marathon — the Royal Parks London Half Marathon — and I’m raising money for The Sick Children’s Trust, a charity that means a huge amount to me and my family.
When I was a baby, I spent some time in Cambridge's Addenbrooks hospital in the paediatric intensive care unit over the Christmas period. During that time, The Sick Children’s Trust supported my family by providing them with a “home from home” close to the hospital, so they could stay nearby without worrying about accommodation.
I was too young to remember it myself, but I know how valuable that support was for my family when they needed it most.
Now, I want to give something back.
By running this half marathon, I’m hoping to help The Sick Children’s Trust continue to support other families going through some of the toughest moments of their lives, just like they did for mine.
Any donation, big or small, would mean so much — thank you for your support 💛
