Story
On 12th April 2026, I’ll be taking on something I never imagined: running the London Landmarks Half Marathon for Different Strokes, a charity very close to my heart.
If you know me, you’ll know my “running experience” is… zero. The most I’ve ever run is carrying plates of food to tables or hauling stock around the cellar. Let’s just say—I am definitely not a runner!
My family and friends think I’m completely mad (and they’re not wrong!). I’m slightly terrified, but this isn’t about speed or a personal best. My goal is simple: cross the finish line, raise awareness for a charity that does incredible work supporting stroke survivors, and prove that you can achieve anything you set your mind to.
In June 2020 and February 2021, I lost two of my favourite people in the world—my Grandma and Grandad. Ever since, I’ve wanted to do something in their memory. Now, five years later, and after a challenging 2025, I feel ready to take that leap of faith and finally do it.
This will be my biggest challenge yet—physically, mentally, and logistically—training around running a business full-time and juggling my workaholic lifestyle. But if there’s one thing I do well, it’s throwing myself into things 100%.
If you can support me by donating, whatever you can give will make a huge difference and bring me closer to honouring my Grandma and Grandad while supporting a charity that truly matters.
