Jen & Andy's Chiltern 50k walk for CPSL Mind

Chiltern 50 Challenge 2023 · 23 September 2023 ·
So, this year is fast turning into the best yet! After a tough couple of years and experiencing the darkest place, I have been on a journey of self discovery. I am the happiest I have been and am surrounded by the family and friends who support me, an amazing partner who is always there and makes me laugh everyday. We have recently got the keys to our forever home and I’ve been promoted at work giving me a fantastic opportunity and a career I never thought I would have.
As I find myself fast approaching the big 4-0 at the end of the year I wanted one last challenge to work towards and achieve. So when this opportunity came up it was perfect!
Not only is this the right challenge for me it is also a great opportunity to raise money for our local mental health charity Cambridgeshire, Peterborough and South Lincolnshire Mind (CPSL Mind). We all have mental health whether that be good or not so good and the work CPSL Mind do is invaluable in supporting so many people around us in our communities. I am also luckily enough to call them my employer where I am now Perinatal Service Manager, supporting lots of new mums and dads with their mental health and well-being.
As I already said Andy has always been there since the day we met and always encouraging me to go for what I want. We will be taking on this challenge together to push both ourselves for such a great cause with a goal we both hope to succeed in!
If you have read this far, thank you. If you can support with any spare pennies for this amazing cause we would be extremely grateful and it will definitely keep us going through all the training km’s and on the day when we attempt the big 50!
