The Royal Derby Hospital Spinal Centre (which comes under the umbrella of the East Midlands Spinal Network) is based on ward 203 - one of the Trauma and Orthopaedic wards at the Royal Derby Hospital. We are raising money for much needed equipment for our spinal patients to help with their initial care and rehabilitation. We are a full trauma ward with full spinal trauma patients, poly trauma and repatriation trauma patients from other areas of the county. Our involvement in caring for spinal patients has greatly increased but we simply do not have the equipment required to meet the patients needs.

The ward staff are amazing and work hard to give the best possible care to all our patients. Together we will be involved in various fundraisers across the next few months and will keep adding the details (& photos!) of each event to this page. Current plans involve Samosa sales, cake sales. marathon runs and maybe even a sky dive!

We are aiming to raise £35000 and all the money will go towards getting a specialised spinal wheelchair, recliner chair & commode/shower chair, in addition we are raising money to have "Sky Inside" boxes fitted into our siderooms to benefit patients on flat bed rest for a prolonged period of time.

Anything you are able to give will be greatly appreciated - not only by the ward staff but essentially by our patients who will be the ones who benefit from this equipment.
