Happy 57th birthday to me! It’s a day I thought I’d never see when I was diagnosed with incurable stage 4 breast cancer on 18th October 2017. The day my life fell apart.

Nearly 7 years later, I'm still here, thanks to our amazing NHS and my cancer drugs Herceptin and Letrozole - and I can hardly believe it! Getting old for me is such a privilege - I'm getting old and it's wonderful! I'm so grateful for each day, and I hold close in my heart those who are no longer with us due to this devastating disease.

To celebrate, I want to do something special. I'm dedicating my birthday to raising money for Cancer Card, the charity I founded. It's a cause that means the world to me, and I want to make sure it continues to help others for years to come, while also honouring the memory of those we've lost to cancer.
