Story
Hello and welcome to my fundraising page! I’ll be running the 2026 London Marathon to raise money for the UK Sepsis Trust in memory of my dad, who sadly passed away in February 2016 after developing sepsis. Losing him was heartbreaking, and like so many families, we didn’t truly understand how serious and fast-moving sepsis can be until it affected us personally.
Sepsis is a life-threatening condition that happens when the body overreacts to an infection, causing damage to its own organs and tissues. It can affect anyone, at any age, and it can develop very quickly. Spotting the signs early and getting urgent treatment can save lives — but awareness is still far too low.
Sepsis UK does incredible work to change this. The charity raises awareness, supports patients and families, educates healthcare professionals, and funds vital research. Their work helps more people recognise sepsis sooner and get the treatment they need in time.
By donating, you’re helping me honour my dad’s memory on the 10 year Anniversary of his passing and supporting a cause that could prevent other families from going through the same loss. Thank you so much for your support — it truly means a lot! Xx
