Age UK Camden is a local voluntary organisation working for older people in the London Borough of Camden. We are an independent charity, responsible for raising our own funds. Your donations help us to continue to support, advise, inform, and inspire older people in Camden.

Story

Two triathlons. One cause: Age UK Camden

This summer I'm swimming, cycling and running through two triathlons: the JLL Triathlon and the London Triathlon.

I'm fundraising for Age UK Camden. The charity is there for older people who have lived fascinating lives and now need a hand: knowing where to turn when things get tricky, finding company when days feel lonely, or staying active and connected in this remarkable city.

Whatever your personal experience of ageing, in your family, your friendships or your neighbourhood, the gap between support and isolation is closer than we think.

Your donation helps Age UK Camden be there for those who need it most. Thank you for standing with them - and for cheering me on as I tri my best.

UPDATE 25/6. Who could have expected this? The heatwave for the first triathlon means that temperatures soar above Triathlon Federation regs and it has to be cancelled. (Both disappointed and relieved I'm not racing in 36 degrees.) However, all is not lost, I still have the full length London Triathlon to come on 26th July, so there's still be plenty of sweat! Shoes on, back out I go to training...!)
