Story
On the 11th February, our mum, Tracey and wife to Dave, fell incredibly poorly and life critical.
Our mum had submitted her PhD findings and was teaching just prior until she fell into a coma, unfortunately, we were told that she has a brain tumour, three brain surgeries later, a month stay in hospital, our mum has been discharged. On Monday 24th March, we have been told our mum has blood cancer which has caused the tumour and is going to be under taking four rounds of chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant.
On Friday 28th March 2025, our son is having a benign tumour removed from his knee and confirmed there is no cancer cells.
In the last two months our world has been completely flipped upside down, with alot of tears and frustration, but a lot of resilience.
As many of you know over the years I have always run for cancer research and something I am so passionate about. Raising over £1500 over the last 5 years. I’m at a loss at the moment and wanted to have something to focus on. I am very proud that my eldest son Henry has chosen to run Market Drayton 10k with me on the 11th May with my youngest son, Arthur and nephews Isaac and Noah completing the fun run, therefore, I thought given as a family we have decided to do this why not raise some money as we are being supported by Macmillan navigating a whole new world.
