Some of my colleagues and I have decided to challenge ourselves to participate in the 100 mile race- Ride London to raise money and awareness for a wonderful charity, Prevent Cancer.

This is a huge challenge and though I have always loved riding my road bike, I have never committed to doing such a distance, or any kind of event, and so I am really excited to push myself and to participate with a great team for a great cause. What's even better is Barratt Homes will Fund match anything we raise, so visit out team page to see our team total.

We all know someone who has been affected by cancer and so I would love to be able to raise as much money as possible, as well as awareness, for this great charity, that focuses on prevention.

As the only UK charity entirely dedicated to the prediction and prevention of breast cancer, we’re committed to freeing the world from the disease altogether. Unlike many cancer charities, we’re focused on preventing, rather than curing. Promoting early diagnosis, screening and lifestyle changes, we believe we can stop the problem before it starts. Being situated at the only breast cancer prevention centre in the UK, we’re right at the front-line in the fight against the disease.
