Since being diagnosed with breast cancer in August 2023 I have benefitted enormously from support and activities at the Maggie's cancer care centre at Barts. Doing an abseil is of course 'right up my street' of adventure but it is also a brilliant metaphor - cancer is tough, but I'm always looking for the ups (mountains,trig points and zipwires included).
