Story
My First London Marathon
On April 26, I’ll run my first London Marathon. When I cross the finish line in London, I’ll earn a 6th Star medal for which I’m very excited!
For each marathon I’ve run, I raised money for a local charity in the host city. For London, I have chosen an incredibly important one.
The Michael Sobell House helps thousands in the community near my company‘s office in London, providing care free of charge for terminally ill people, and support for families before, during, and after loss. They offer care for the whole individual - medical and well-being - and offer to the wider community skill-building and social interaction.
Only a third of this Hospice’s funding comes from the National Health Service. Fundraising is vital to keep these services available!
How You Can Help
Please help me raise money for this great local organization and support me through the marathon on April 26. Knowing I’m fundraising for this charity will really help me keep going when it starts to hurt!
I’ve set a target of £2620 to reflect the 26.2 mile distance.
