It's bewildering and unsettling for anyone going into hospital but especially for children and that is why we are a fundraising hospital. We raise funds to enhance the experience of our patients by providing state of the art medical equipment and facilities and creating a child-friendly environment.

Story

I’ve somehow signed myself up to walk 100km straight through (yes, the hardest option!) because I really wanted to push myself to do something I’ve never done before. I love being outside and going for walks, but I haven’t taken on anything like this since my Duke of Edinburgh about 20 years ago — so this should be interesting!

I’m doing all this in support of Birmingham Children’s Hospital, our brilliant charity partner. Their mission is to raise the vital funds needed to make a real difference to everyone who uses the hospital.

This cause is genuinely close to my heart as I’ve met and worked with people who’ve had first‑hand experience of BCH.

If you’re able to donate — even a little — it honestly means a lot and will definitely help keep me moving when my legs are wondering why I thought 100km was a good idea!
