In just a few weeks, on 19 April 2026, I will be running the adidas Manchester Marathon to fundraise for Mind, a charity close to my heart. In 2023 when I completed the Couch to 5k during a particularly challenging time in my life. Running became more than just exercise for me and allowed me to take a break from my brain and gave me a positive goal to focus on.
This experience helped me to build healthier habits and a better outlook on life. As I prepare to run the full 26 miles, fundraising for Mind feels like a full circle moment because of this. Mind’s vital work supporting mental health is something I deeply believe in, and by contributing to this cause, we can help many others find hope and strength.
