I will be celebrating my 40th birthday at The Hammer and Stithy pub on Saturday 22nd November. This is certainly a birthday I never thought I would see given the fact Dr's initially didn't think I would leave hospital upon my terminal cancer diagnosis in 2023. With that in mind, what perfect an opportunity than to coincide my celebration with some FUNDRAISING. I have chosen a charity very close to my heart. Jacqui Drake is the face of a charity called Jacquis Million, her goal is to raise a million pound for Leeds Bexley Wing, supporting the continued care of cancer patients. I am personally very thankful for some of the benefits that has come from this fundraising, which has provided comfort to me whilst being infused with chemo every 3 weeks! Jacqui is also a cancer patient at Bexley and has become a friend of mine. We have some lovely chats when I see her selling her wares, giving her precious time to push towards her aim of supporting others.
