Story

Now anyone who knows me, knows I’m not a runner but that being said, after my 4th attempt to run the London Marathon, I was one of lucky ones who got a ballot place for 2025 🏃🏼‍♀️

“Why would you want to run” I hear you all ask…

One reason, my dad 🤍🕊️

I will never forget mum calling us to say the hospital had phoned and we had to go straight to A&E after dad had been for an MRI scan. As we gathered as a family, we all knew it was bad news. He had a brain tumour, that we quickly learned was secondary cancer and he also had lung cancer. We were given the heartbreaking news that there was nothing they could do for him.

After a short battle, he was sick of hospitals and all the noise so wanted to be moved to St Luke’s Hospice and it was a comfort to be able to spend our final days with him with some privacy and dignity. The nurses were amazing with dad and the rest of the team were just as amazing with us, allowing us to camp there every night, giving us tea & toast each morning and allowing us be there at the end with him.

So since then, I’ve wanted to run the London Marathon to raise money for this amazing charity that made the worse time of my life, a little easier to go through ❤️

Please help me and donate to this great charity 🙏🏻
