2025 London Marathon with #TeamNSPCC

London Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 ·
Hi my name is Jenna Whelan (Miss Whelan), I have decided to take on the challenge of running a marathon, I hope this will encourage my son and all the children I know, that if you put your mind to something, you can achieve it. Anything is possible!
I will be running the 2025 London Marathon, raising money and awareness for the NSPCC. The NSPCC are a charity who support children and their families to help keep children safe.
I will be running this marathon for all the children who have ever been in my care, particularly thinking of those children who have needed that extra bit of support to ensure they are safe, happy and secure.
I have worked in numerous childcare settings spanning over 2 decades, from nurseries, preschools, out of school clubs and most recently in a primary school. Working within this industry isn’t well paid nor well recognised, however we work in these jobs for the love of it, for that rewarding feeling, for the job satisfaction and most importantly to help support children.
I want to run this marathon for all the co-workers I have had the pleasure of working alongside, who have gone that extra mile to support children and their families in their care.
Over the past 20 years I have looked after and supported hundreds if not thousands of children, now it’s my turn to ask for your help, to support me and my chosen charity by sponsoring me.
Together we can change children’s lives.
Thank you for reading and thank you in advance for your support.
Jenna
