Cycling in Scotland

We are an active partnership between the community of Dunblane and Likhubula - a village in Malawi. We raise funds to support children with educational burseries, and also support projects such as clean water and agriculture. We share and learn from each community.

Story

I am spending time this summer cycling in Scotland, exploring the hills with my trusty eBike. 2025 marks the 20th birthday of the Likhubula Partnership, of which I am a founder member. Let Aubrey Telera’s letter, just received, give you a flavour of what supporting this link with Malawi can do:

Dear Dunblan Team,

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude for the incredible financial support you provided me throughout my academic journey, from secondary school through to university.

Your generosity has made a profound difference in my life, allowing me to focus on my studies without the constant worry of financial burdens. Thanks to your support, I was able to achieve educational milestones that I once thought were beyond my reach.

The opportunities I gained through this sponsorship have not only shaped my academic abilities but have also instilled in me the confidence to pursue my dreams. I am proud to say that I am now a degree holder in Education (sciences), all of which would not have been possible without your support.

I want you to know that your investment in my education has inspired me to give back to my community. I am committed to utilizing my skills and knowledge to make a positive impact in the lives of others, just as you have done for me.

Once again, thank you for believing in me and for your unwavering support. I will forever be grateful for the opportunities you have provided, and I look forward to making you proud in the years to come.

Regards,

Aubrey Telera
