Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

This page is dedicated to the life, laughter, and legacy of Jenni Martin—a strong, independent woman who meant the world to everyone who knew her.

Jenni was many things: warm, determined, and fiercely loyal. She was a woman who knew her own mind, had a great sense of humour, and filled every room with energy. She raised her daughter Grace single-handedly with the support of her brilliant neighbours, and spent her younger years travelling, laughing, and collecting stories. She had a soft spot for ABBA, loved a good celebration, and would do anything for those around her.

Sadly, Jenni passed away in late 2023 following a long and difficult battle with Parkinson’s disease—a cruel, progressive condition that currently affects over 153,000 people in the UK. It slowly robs people of their movement, their voice, and eventually their independence. And yet, there’s still no cure.

We created this page to honour Jenni’s memory and raise money for Parkinson’s UK, a charity working tirelessly to support people living with the condition and fund life-changing research. Whether you’re here after attending one of our fundraising events—like Thank Jenni for the Music—or simply because Jenni touched your life in some way, we’re truly grateful.

Every donation, big or small, brings us one step closer to better treatments and, we hope, a future where no family has to go through what we did.

Thank you for supporting Parkinson’s UK—and for helping us keep Jenni’s spirit alive in the best way we know how.
