Story
Last year, my dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Thanks to the incredible care, expertise, and support he received at The Royal Marsden, he is thankfully doing well today. We will always be grateful for everything they did for him during such a frightening time.
Sadly, my family’s experience isn’t unique. Over just the last couple of years, my friend’s dad was diagnosed with stage 4 glioblastoma and another friend was diagnosed with breast cancer, they both received and are still receiving amazing care from The Royal Marsden! Hearing about the kindness, dedication, and life-changing care given again and again has shown me just how special it is there.
For this amazing charity, My friend Jo and I have decided to take on a 26-mile trek across the South Downs to raise as much money as possible for such a great cause. Any donation big or small will be greatly appreciated!
The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity raises money to improve the lives of people affected by cancer. They ensure The Royal Marsden’s world-leading nurses, doctors and research teams can provide the very best care and develop life-saving treatments, which are used across the UK and around the world.
From funding state-of-the-art equipment and groundbreaking research, to creating the very best patient environments, they will never stop looking for ways to improve the lives of people affected by cancer.
