Jamie was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect at 15. It was a shock to us all and it has been a tricky time. Open heart surgery in your GCSE year is probably not the best timing but Jamie was incredible at accepting everything that was thrown at him. He could not have done it without the wonderful care and support he got from Alder Hey.
