Stocklake Park Secondary Special School in Aylesbury is part of a wider federations of special needs schools in the area, which cater for the educational needs of children and young people with special needs.  Students at Stocklake Park have a variety of physical and neurological conditions – and are looked after by a dedicated team with high staff to student ratios. The staff at Stocklake Park use different teaching methods to help the children through the day at school and to prepare them for their future adult lives. Those methods include regular use of a sensory room – where these young people are able to develop, relax and have a space to be happy. That sensory room is now well past its prime, with equipment in need of replacement and capital investment required for new kit.  The flooring needs replacement, new blinds are required (to enable lighting to be controlled) and the walls require redecoration.
