Story
I’m taking part in this event and walking from Whitby to Robin Hoods Bay to raise awareness & funds for brain tumour research. Having been diagnosed with 2 brain tumours now, I hope one day that no one will have to go through what I’ve been through.
Brain Tumours can affect anyone, at any time. They are the single biggest killer of the under 40s in the UK.
Every week approximately 15 people are diagnosed with a brain tumour in Yorkshire.
Research has been underfunded for brain tumours, with current treatments nearly 40 years old.
Yorkshire's Brain Tumour Charity aims to fund world-class research here in Yorkshire to find treatments and a cure.
Whilst we do that we will provide support to people living with and affected by brain tumours, emotionally, practically and financially for as long as they need us.
