Story

Soooooooo.... those of you who know me already know that I never do things by halves... so I’m asking you to support me in my latest thrilling adventure by donating whatever you can towards our Therapy Pool Campaign.

Its super exiting to share the journey with you as we kick off this ambitious campaign by doing something a little bit crazy/exiting/ thrilling.

On Thursday, 19 June, we officially launched our appeal for a brand new therapy pool at the Diamond Activity and Therapeutic Centre at Tickhill Road, teaming up with the amazing folks from Choice for All Doncaster (CHaD) to co-design this much-needed space.

The current pool, installed back in 1996, just isn't cutting it anymore and no longer meets the needs of those who rely on it for their therapeutic exercises. The goal is to revamp the pool and make it bigger so that even more people can benefit from its soothing water-based therapies and sensory environment.

Water therapy is essential for many clients. The warm water helps ease pain, strengthens muscles, improves fitness, and promotes overall wellbeing. With a modernized pool and an enriched sensory environment, we'll be able to offer a wider range of therapeutic support to more clients, their families, and the community at large.

I aim to raise a personal target of £300 (hopefully much more!) to help reach our overall target of £250,000 for this campaign, and to do so I’ll be taking on an exhilarating (if not bone chilling - literally - it's NOVEMBER brrrrrrr) challenge: a sky dive from 15,000 ft at Hibaldstow near Brigg on November 29th, 2025! Wish me luck!

Whether its 10p or £10, every little bit helps us get closer to creating a space that will change lives, so thank you for being part of this journey with me!
