Story
This May, I’m lacing up my trainers (AGAIN!!!) and running the Hackney Half Marathon — 13.1 miles through the streets of East London — in support of the British Red Cross. 🏃♀️❤️
The world is going through a lot right now. Disasters, conflicts, displacement — and behind every headline are real people who need real help. The British Red Cross shows up in those moments, delivering emergency relief and long-term support to communities in crisis, both here in the UK and around the world.
For me, this is also personal. Myanmar is my home country, and after the 2025 earthquake, it meant everything to see official organisations like the British Red Cross on the ground, helping local communities rebuild. Knowing this fundraising contributes to that kind of work means a lot to me.
Well if you know me, I'm not a professional runner and I don't even particularly like running. There will definitely be a moment around mile 10 where I deeply question my life choices. But that's the thing about bad ideas I believe in: I keep making them anyway. 😅
If you can spare anything — any amount, big or small — please donate. It all adds up, and it all goes to people facing some of the hardest moments of their lives.
Thank you so much. It means the world — literally. 🌍
