Glasgow Kiltwalk 2025 · 26 April 2025 to 27 April 2025 ·
In memory of Alistair Shields loving father and grandfather, uncle who is missed greatly and was taken too soon by pancreatic cancer.
I am taking part in this years Glasgow Kiltwalk 2025 on 27 April (23miles) with the DITI Strollers gals to raise funds for Pancreatic Cancer Action in memory of Alistair - who is my work colleague & friends uncle, who served as a police officer then volunteer special constable for a record 45 years. He also volunteered as a technical official for SASA for over 30 years only stopping when diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer.
Pancreatic Cancer Action is the only UK charity dedicated to saving lives through early diagnosis.
Pancreatic cancer is the 5th biggest cancer killer and the 10th most common cancer in the UK. In the UK, 93% of all patients die within 5 years of diagnosis.
Your vital support means we can continue to raise awareness of the symptoms to ensure early diagnosis and enable life-saving treatment.
Together, we will save lives.
