Jennifer, (aka Jenny, Jen, Jenny Noir, Jeff) lost her battle against cholangiocarcinoma (CCA) on June 5th. This is a little known Cancer that was previously diagnosed in older people and was mostly inoperable due to the later diagnosis. The cancer appears to be increasing across all age groups, including younger people. The exact cause of CCA (Bile Duct Cancer) is unclear and most cases are sporadic. Surgery to totally remove the Cancer is currently the only potentially curative treatment. Unfortunately, by the time most patients are diagnosed, their CCA is too advanced for surgery.

AMMF is the Uk and Europes only CCA charity. It is totally focused on CCA and improving the future for those with this challenging Cancer. It encourages and supports research, especially into causes, and finding better ways to achieve better and clearly early diagnosis. Jennifer was willing to volunteer for any research and trials, knowing that it might not help her but it could save someone else.

Jennifer's former work colleague's are hosting a Fund Raising Event 'Ladies Afternoon' in memory of Jennifer and to raise funds for AMMF charity.
