Story
On the 25th of August I'll be competing in the World Gravy Wrestling championships in Rossendale. I'll be in fancy dress and wrestling in a massive pool of gravy to raise money for the LGBT foundation.
I've been volunteering with the LGBT Foundation Village Angels for 5 years now and it's a cause close really close to my heart.
The Village Angels are a community safety group that work in the Manchester gay village from 9pm-3am each Friday and Saturday night. We administer mental and health first aid, help out when people get lost, lose their phones, lose their friends and all kinds of other stuff (mostly we are shoulders to cry on and vomit-bag holders) but overall, we make the Village a safer and more friendly place for all who visit it.
The LGBT Foundation support the Village Angels and also a whole host of other schemes that change and save lives in Manchester.
If you've ever been out in the Village, if you love someone who spends time in the Village, or you'd just really like to see me get decked into a pool of gravy, please stick a few quid in the pot. I promise to share the embarrassing pictures after!
Also, if you'd like to watch, you are welcome. Info can be found here: https://worldgravywrestling.com/
