On 29.12.20 our lives changed forever when our 15 year old son complained of a headache! Harvey suffered a catastrophic brain haemorrhage and died on 1.1.21 surrounded by his family. When you lose your child the pain you experience is like no other, your soul will not accept it and to be honest it still hasn’t. People treat you differently and as a result you feel lonely and isolated. All of this is going on while the world just keeps going.. at an alarmingly fast speed. All the demands of living still need seeing to and you are still waiting for them to come home.

Love Jasmine are there for families and as Rob and Kathy are bereaved parents themselves having lost their beautiful Jasmine they know how you feel. I have accessed many of their services and still do to this day. I’m doing this sky dive to give something back to the charity. I know Harvey will be right beside me but I wish so so much I didn’t know this torture. I now live my life trying to make Harvey proud and I reckon he’d think this is super brave! Love Jasmine threw me a lifeline when I was drowning in the pain of losing my son and for that I will be eternally grateful!

We understand that everyone grieves differently and everyone will need different types of support. This is why provide a range of support to bereaved families, including one to one counselling and peer group support. We also provide practical support and promote self-care as a coping strategy.
