Story
The Poole Community Exchange is a local charity that promotes social
inclusion and helps anyone from any background without distinction. We
believe that people are transformed by the experience of giving and
taking, and want everyone in our community to thrive, not just survive.
Our community is a place where people can get help and support, build
relationships and grow in confidence. It is also a place where people
can comfortably, if they wish, explore faith and spirituality. We work
in partnership with different organizations and offer a wide range of
projects/ activities on site. Poole Pantry helps anyone on a low income
to eat a balanced and nutritious diet; Community Meals project provides
a two course home cooked meal and the Community Fridge offers overflow
or short date stock for free or for a donation. The Living Room is a
welcoming space where people can chat, play games, read books, listen to
music and enjoy drinks and cakes. We offer numerous activities for the
community like Arts & Crafts, Thai- Chi, Chair Yoga, Karate, Creative Writing, Wellness Journey or Bible study.
