Hi, I’m Jen and I’m running the 2025 EMF 10K to raise money for STEKA — a truly inspiring children’s home in Malawi that I had the privilege of volunteering with back in 2013/14 at the age of 18.

I spent a year living and working with STEKA, and it’s a place that’s never left my heart. They provide a safe, loving home for over 85 vulnerable children and young adults, offering not only shelter but also access to education, support, and the chance to build a brighter future.

With ongoing inflation, the cost of staple foods like rice, maize, and beans has soared by nearly 40% in recent months — making it increasingly difficult for founder Godknows and his wife Hellen to provide even three meals a day for the children and young adults they support.
