Any of you who know me - know I do not like the cold! I'm taking on this challenge not because I feel that one night will in any way be similar to the night after night of horror that young homeless women and men experience - but I hope to raise awareness of their situation and the incredible work achieved by YMCA Northamptonshire each and every day. I am Chair of YMCA Milton Keynes & Northamptonshire - a position I am incredibly proud of. I know the vital work that is being delivered for young people in our communities. YMCA Northamptonshire believe every young person should have a safe place to call home.

Our new project based at Derngate, Northampton will provide a home and a range of support for care experienced young people aged 18-21.

We understand the importance of creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere where young people feel like they belong as soon as they step through our door.

That our young people feel safe and secure, that's a priority

And our passionate and dedicated staff are there to support them, fostering a sense of community, developing meaningful relationships

We believe in helping young people find their meaning and purpose.

Over 3 years, 3 stages, YMCA Northamptonshire will provide residents with not just a home but the support they need to achieve their potential
