Jenny's fundraiser for Motor Neurone Disease Association

York Sprint Triathlon · 17 August 2025
Nine years ago, Dad left his body after eleven months of living with Motor Neurone Disease. In 2016, I did my longest run ever of 10 miles in York, even though I disliked running, in memory of him and to raise money for MND Association. Dad always liked to run and, as a teenager, I sometimes ran with him but just found it hard. This year, I decided to come out of running retirement and do the 10 mile again.
*Update 13.10.2024
I’ve decided to switch the event to the York Triathlon in August 2025. Thank you for your donations so far, it really means so much to me and I hope you can continue to support me in my training and the event. 🏊🏻♀️🚴🏼♀️🏃🏼♀️➡️🧘🏼♀️
Training has been going ok, except my new trainers didn’t get on with my knees so I’ve switched back to my trusty old ones. Four weeks to go and I’m not aiming for a specific time but just to get round the course and enjoy it.
I’m so grateful for any and all of your kind support, it means the world to me and dad, who is still out with me on every run I do 🙏🏼✨
