This year, together with my friend Meda & her team, I am embarking on a monumental journey - a 26-mile trek (a hiking marathon) through the breathtaking Peak District.

We committed ourselves to this challenge in support of the Alzheimer's Society, an organization dedicated to providing assistance to those affected by dementia.

Given my family history of it, I have seen first hand the devastating and profound effect this disease has for the people impacted and their families.

In the UK alone, over 944,000 individuals are living with dementia, where the annual cost of treatment and care for those suffering from dementia amounts to a staggering £25 billion.

However, the Alzheimer's Society is tirelessly working towards a future where dementia no longer devastates lives. They offer vital support to those currently living with dementia while also advocating for increased prioritization of dementia care and funding groundbreaking research for a cure.
