Story
Cornwall Mind have been an incredibly important part of my life over the past 5 years and have literally helped to keep me alive whilst many other mental health charities have excluded me from their activities because I've been "too unwell". They are amazing.
Just to make this challenge a bit harder, I'll be doing it one-legged as I'm currently unable to wear my prosthetic after complications following surgery on my leg in May.
I am lacing up, digging out my most colourful clothes and going bright for Cornwall Mind at their new summer family fun run, held at National Trust Trelissick on Sunday, 16th August, 2026. I am making every step count as all the funds raised from the event will go towards Cornwall Mind’s fight for better mental health across the duchy.
Why do they need your help?
Although affiliated to national Mind, Cornwall Mind is a totally independent and self-funded local charity, reliant on donations and fundraising to carry out our vital work across the county.
£10 – will pay for Cornwall Mind to answer a call from someone in need of support.
£50 – will help to pay for someone to receive one-to-one support, helping them connect with others and feel less alone.
£100 – will help to pay for someone to benefit from a wellbeing course, helping them to build confidence and improve their quality of life.
Thank you for your support so that no one has to face a mental health problem alone.
