Challenge 365

Challenge 365 Yoga · 1 January 2025
Mission: Jenny's goal is to raise $10,000 for The Hospital Research Foundation Group - Parkinsons and educate the Parkinson's community about the advantages of Bikram Yoga for those with Parkinson's disease.
At 42, I received a diagnosis of Young-Onset Parkinson's Disease (YOPD). I looked for other ways to alleviate my symptoms and I found Bikram Yoga to be truly amazing! By adopting a holistic approach, I have experienced 80% decrease on my tremors, as well as improvements in my range of motion, balance, posture, and general strength and flexibility. Most significantly, after five months of practice, it has reduced my anxiety and depression and has enhanced my general wellbeing. Maintaining my cognitive function has been made possible by the social relationships that yoga has given me. If, after five months, my symptoms have subsided, and my steady gait has generally improved, let's see what happens after 12 months!
I was lost for a very long time. I frequently cried myself to sleep, asking myself, "Why me? I used to fear the unknown and worry a lot about the future. When I realised that YOPD was here to stay, I realised that I couldn't give up and that I needed to keep going. I must say that Bikram Yoga has saved my life because I am now the best version of myself—mentally, emotionally, and physically—under the given conditions.
With assistance from Amy Kreminski, a yoga therapist, and the staff at Be Well Studio in Adelaide, South Australia. I came up with “Challenge 365 “to educate the Parkinson's community about the advantages of Bikram Yoga, whilst raising money for The Hospital Research Foundation Group – Parkinsons.
This is a special chance to raise awareness of the advantages of Bikram Yoga for Parkinson's patients in the Parkinson's community. We would be delighted to share this space with you if you would like to join us.
Participate in the free challenge by doing yoga at home or in a studio wherever you are in the world. Starting from January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025.
