This year I have chosen to run a number of events of varying distances and terrains to help raise money for The Collingwood Foundation. The charity helps increase opportunities for local SEND children from Collingwood School and Media Arts College to succeed in life, whether that be through the provision of resources that cannot be purchased through school budget or looking for new development opportunities and networking so that pupils can have access to some of the best businesses and enterprise activities in the North East.

Today is Great North Run day. I am joining thousands of people, all with their own agenda, to run the most supported run I've ever done. Those on the sides of the road deserve a medal because they all make this event. All runners have a story, so it can also be quite an emotional run as you read runners vests and signs. This is a run that unites so many. It is the friendliest run ever. And for these reasons I want to just enjoy it and soak it all up. Please continue to donate.
