Story
It will be almost 2-years since I ran the Manchester marathon and as those of you who gave so generously will know, I did this shortly after finishing treatment for secondary breast cancer.
I am eternally grateful to still be here, alive and kicking (and currently stable!!), albeit living with this horrible disease.
This year, I have been lucky enough to secure a place on the London marathon and I am doing this to raise money for Macmillan.
I first met my Macmillan nurse 48 hours after my secondary diagnosis. Since then, I have been able to access vital support from them, whenever I have needed it.
Right now, more than 3 million people are living with cancer in the UK. By 2030 this figure will rise to 4 million.
Macmillan aims to help everyone with cancer live life as fully as they can, by providing physical, financial and emotional support. They do whatever it takes, no matter what a person's needs are, they will listen and support them.
So, I am unashamedly asking for donations however big or small, to help raise money for this very worthy cause.
Thank you and wish me luck!
