After a lifetime of heedless good health, I was diagnosed with bladder cancer in 2024. I have since been treated by the Urology department based at Glangwili, and it's thanks only to their huge skill, energy and kindness that I'm able to set out on this pilgrimage.

Tim is coming with me - only, he says, because my sense of direction's so bad that I'm likely to end up in Berlin instead of Santiago if he doesn't. We begin our 500 mile walk in the French Basque country on 27th May and finish 35 days later, hoping to raise some money to help with the amazing work of the team at Glangwili.
