My family tree has been plagued by Alzheimer's for far too long!

I can't describe how horrible this disease is!

As it quietly sits there robbing people bit by bit of their memories, their ability to complete day to day things that most people take for granted, their confidence and their independence! Slowly changing the person.

Their families suffer too, unable to take it away, they can only watch their loved one deteriorate and personality change, they try to support them and help them continue living as fulfilled life as possible whilst losing them piece by piece and ever searching for glimpses of the person their loved one once was.

It hurts so much!

Whilst my family may not escape unscathed, I hope that by raising awareness and money will have a positive impact on other families experiences with a greater chance of survival.
