I'm running the London marathon and would like to raise money for an amazing charity called Breast of Friends, who fundraise for the Breast Care unit at the queen Elizabeth Hospital Kings Lynn.

In February last year, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I was lucky enough to find it early, and after a mastectomy, and chemotherapy, I am cancer free. It has been a horrible, challenging journey, but hopefully one I won't have to endure again. Breast of friends raise money for equipment and resources for the breast care unit, and also provide a treats trolley full of lovely health and beauty products etc which is in the chemo waiting room, this was a lovely distraction from what was going on, so rummaging through the goodies really helped me every treatment!

I was a runner, and due to complete the London marathon last year, but cancer put a stop to that. I'm now building back my strength, and following a training plan for the London marathon 2026! And I WILL complete it!

The breast care team at the QEH have helped me so much from point of diagnosis, during treatment and beyond. The nurses are amazing and provide so much support. They have been there for me through every wobble. And there have been many!
