My daughters, Sarah and Connie have volunteered to Sleep Out for a whole evening (under the supervision of their Dad) and have roped in Sarah's boyfriend Will. This event will take place in the grounds of a local college to raise funds to support those who endure mental health illnesses. They will have a sleeping bag but not have a tent or shelter other than cardboard, this is to replicate the challenge of homelessness, often an outcome of those with mental health problems. My young people want to raise awareness of some of the work Stafford & Cannock League of Hospital Friends do to support those people to move to a home of their own, which makes a significant difference to those who face such mental health challenges. The event is supported by the Rotary Clubs of Cannock & Stafford. Please support them to complete this event, as it will take place even if the weather is inclement!
