I am once again taking part in the twilight challenge for The-Zone! This time I will be joined by 2 amazing young boys Ollie and Connor. The-Zone! supported our family when we joined 15 years ago and whilst my kids no longer attend I have continued to volunteer to support many other families.

The-Zone! are fundraising so that they can continue running their activities for local families with autistic/neurodivergent children. They run monthly Saturday Zone and Teen Zone sessions during term time and weekday Fun Zone sessions in the school holidays. The families enjoy meeting others and having fun with games consoles, Lego, toys, crafts, food/cooking activities and, when it is dry, go-karts, bouncy castles and outdoor fun. They also organise trips out for the families such as bowling, donutting, laser run, soft play, farm etc.

It is often difficult for the families to get their children out and joining in with 'mainstream' activities. The-Zone! sessions are needed more than ever. Families come along, get support, connect with others and feel relaxed and accepted with their children joining in and having fun.
