Six determined 16-year-olds are taking on the incredible Three Peaks Challenge to raise awareness and support for ManUp, a charity dedicated to breaking the stigma around men's mental health. Climbing the highest mountains in Scotland, England, and Wales—Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowdon—in just 24 hours is no easy task, but these young people are pushing themselves physically and mentally for a cause they truly believe in. Their goal is to show that it's strong to speak up and to inspire others to support open conversations about mental health. Every step they take is a step toward changing lives. The boys have personally written their own reason:-
Jake Atkins:
I feel incredibly lucky to be taking on such an amazing challenge with an equally amazing group of friends. While this journey will be unforgettable, it's about more than just the adventure — I'm doing the Three Peaks Challenge to raise awareness and support for men dealing with mental health issues, whether from trauma or other life struggles. Please help us help others find the reassurance they deserve.
Remi Shadrack:
The Three Peaks Challenge is something I’ve always wanted to do, and getting to do it with my closest friends makes it even more special. We’re raising money for ManUp?, a charity that’s deeply personal to me. It’s a cause that matters, and I’m proud to support it.
Will Siwicki:
I’m grateful to have a strong support system — my family and friends encourage me to take on challenges like this and create lifelong memories. But I know not everyone has that kind of security. Many men struggle in silence, feeling like they have no one to turn to. ManUp? offers a safe, supportive space for those who need it most. Please support us as we try to make a difference.
Arthur Roberts:
Raising awareness for men’s mental health is so important. Too many men feel like they can’t speak up. I’m lucky to have an amazing group of friends who support one another and talk openly about what we’re going through. We want others to feel that same freedom to reach out and speak up.
Reuben Tarlow:
I’ve always been fortunate to have a strong, supportive environment — people I trust and can turn to in tough times. But not everyone has that. Men's mental health is a serious issue, and we believe ManUp? is the perfect charity to help prevent men from suffering in silence. This challenge is our way of giving back.
Ruben Petty:
My friends mean the world to me. We support each other, we spend time together, and we talk openly. The Three Peaks Challenge is a unique opportunity for us, and we’re using it to raise awareness for men’s mental health. Not everyone has the kind of support we’re lucky to share — and that’s why we’ve chosen to support ManUp? through this journey.
