Story
In April 2026, I’ll be running the London Marathon - 26.2 miles through the streets of London to raise funds for Resource, an employment support charity that helps equip and empower people to find meaningful employment.
Why Resource?
For over 33 years, Resource has been the community’s go-to organisation for job seekers, helping more than 1,000 people each year return to the workplace. They provide free, tailored, and confidential support at every stage of a person’s career journey, helping them build confidence, develop skills, and secure work that’s right for them. Their expert team of HR and business professionals offers one-to-one guidance, CV and interview support, practical job search advice, networking assistance, and up-to-date workshops to give clients the best chance of success.
Being unemployed affects far more than just finances. It can impact mental and physical health, self-esteem, family relationships, and overall stability. Resource provides a supportive voice and expert guidance when people need it most - a lifeline in a challenging jobs market.
Why I’m Running
Training for a marathon requires commitment, resilience, and belief , these are the same qualities Resource's clients demonstrate every day when looking for work. By taking on this challenge, I hope to raise vital funds and awareness so Resource can continue to offer free, professional support and open doors to opportunity for even more people.
Your Support Matters
Every donation big or small makes a real difference. With your help, Resource can continue empowering people to rebuild confidence, gain new skills, and move forward with purpose. Thank you so much for your support!
